Professional experience: Ron is a retired aerospace engineer who started his career working on aircraft structure problems for the US Air Force. Subsequently, he has worked as a mechanical and structural engineer on infrared vision systems (Texas Instruments), the Very Large Array radio telescope, reinforced concrete structures for the petrochemical industry. He also worked as a software engineer.[ref]
