Education: BS in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; Masters Regional Planing degree from Cornell University; JD in Environmental and Water law from University of Oregon.[ref]

Professional experience: After graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Jamie worked for the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Bosnia where she co-managed water and sanitation projects for schools and health facilities. She has worked as a Senior City Planner in Sunnyvale, CA, was an environmental planner for a regional water district, and served two back-to-back terms as a city councilwoman in Santa Clara, CA before moving to Oregon to pursue her JD from the University of Oregon.[ref]
